Letter #1

Dear God,

I just want to say thank you for everything.  Thank you for the people you surround me with, the trials you put me through, and the love you shown.  I know I don’t go to church as much as I need to but I want you to know that I won’t ever lose faith in you.  I may question your ways at times but I know deep in my heart that it’s for my own good and you will never give me a challenge that I can’t handle.

You may already know that I’ve started this 40 days 40 letters in celebration of Lent.  You told us to love our neighbors and I just wanted to show compassion towards people who deeply touched my life.  I hope you guide me to meet more amazing individuals like the ones mentioned in the 40 letters (46 really).

In the future I hope you lead me on the right path and help fulfill my desire to become what I want to be.  I hope not only you take care of me but also take care of my family and everyone around me.  I hope you can help me with my struggles and pick me up when I’m down.  I trust you to never let me down and I know my impatient mind can get me in trouble sometimes so help me be more patient.  I put all my trust into you God.
